Anglo American Educational Services place a great emphasis on the safety and security of our students. Below is some information, and commonly asked questions

Orientation sessions
All of our groups are offered an orientation session free of charge, subject to availability. If the students are living in apartments then they will automatically have an orientation to their apartment on the day of arrival, with an opportunity to meet with Anglo staff and follow up on anything they are unsure of within the first week. Colleges are also given the opportunity to arrange an orientation session with the Anglo American Support Services Team, and a Police Officer.

Security in our housing
Anglo American Educational Services work closely with the Metropolitan Police, and Health and Safety Officials to ensure that all our properties conform to current Health and Safety Guidelines. All Anglo American staff are issued with ID tags, and any external maintenance workers are accompanied at all times whilst on Anglo American Property

Emergency contacts
Anglo American has a 24-hour emergency number which is given to all of our students. This is a freephone (0800) number, so students are able to call without cost to themselves (within the UK) They are also offered access to an on-call cell phone number, which is available outside of working hours if they wish to speak directly with the person on call.

Contacting students
If a parent wishes to contact their son/daughter in an emergency then we are happy to pass on a message. Please note that for security reasons we are unable to give out contact information for individual students. All of our apartments have telephone numbers which are provided to the colleges before their arrival. These telephones are able to accept incoming calls free of charge.

Visiting students
If you wish to visit your child then please contact the Anglo American office. We will be happy to advise you on discounted hotel rates at our partner hotels.

Students without an onsite Faculty Director
Students without an on-site faculty director are always given a cell phone contact number, either of the Academic Director, or of the Programmes Manager depending on whom their point contact person is. They are also given full access to the 24 hour helpline provided to all students. Students without a faculty director are asked to advise Anglo American if they are planning to travel at the weekend

Contingency plans
Anglo American have full contingency plans that will be implemented in case of an emergency.
