All of the
apartments are inspected on a regular basis. However, we do
realise that some things might be missed, and that things will come
up during your stay in the apartments.
Anglo American operates a 24-hour a day, 365 days a year emergency
maintenance cover. In the event that you should face an emergency
within your apartment, you should call us on 0800 183 9955 (24-hours)
or 07768 034 166 (after office hours only) and we
will have someone, normally within the hour, to attend to your problem.

Anglo American reserves the right to determine whether or not the
situation in question is of the type to warrant a call out. Please
report all minor-non-emergency incidences as soon as you can after
9.00am so we can then see to them during the day. Those reported after
5.00pm are unable to be dealt with until the following day. Please
remember that certain things, such as new TVs for instance can take
3-5 days to be delivered; the same applies with large appliances e.g.
washing machines with complicated repairs.
What is an emergency?
- No electricity
- No heating
- Any type of leak
- If you become locked out of your apartment (which
should not happen, as you should always have your keys with you).
This however is chargeable. It is advisable that you keep your
keys with you at all times, as other emergency calls will be given
priority over a lockout.
What is not an emergency?
- Light bulbs needing replacing
- Any appliance that is not working,
although some exceptions may apply to cookers and fridges
- Other items
of cutlery and crockery needed
How to report a maintenance issue
There are a number of ways to report a maintenance issues
The
Maintenance Board
In every building there is a board. On this board you
will find a maintenance sheet. Everyone who goes in and out of
the building checks this board. This is the quickest way to report
a maintenance issue, as it will be dealt with there and then.

to report a problem at any time of the day or night. If it is
an emergency (see above for the definition of an emergency) then we
