Belgium-With Brussels as a political centre many Government and Politics groups have chosen to combine a trip to the UK with a mid-week trip to Brussels. We have contacts within the European Parliament, enabling groups to get an insight into the workings of the EU. The Czech Republic- Even before it became a member of the European Union, Anglo American had arranged programmes in the Czech Republic, predominantly revolving around business and finance. Since becoming a member state there has been an increased interest in the country, mainly in Prague. France- We are particularly strong in Paris, and in the past have arranged various programmes based on business and finance, marketing and sports management, just to name a few. In addition to site visits and accommodation we are able to arrange numerous other support services, including entrances, guides, coach transfers and travelcards. Germany- Germany, as the home to many of the large car manufacturers, is an ideal location for those studying engineering, or business. In addition to site visits we are also able to arrange various support services, including coaching, guides, and accommodation. Ireland-Increasing popular for Study Abroad Programmes, Anglo American has arranged a variety of programmes in the Emerald Isle, including Literature, business and finance, and more recently criminal justice. We are able to provide a full range of support services not only in Dublin, but throughout both Northern, and the Republic of Ireland. Italy- Italy is renowned for both its history and art connections, and has remained a favourite for Art, History and Literature Professors alike. Anglo American has arranged housing, and support services throughout Italy, including Rome, Florence, Venice, Milan and Amalfi. The Netherlands-Although not one of the more popular destinations for short-term groups cities such as Amsterdam have in the past played host to programmes including Business and Finance, and Art History. Poland-As one of the newer member states within the EU, Business programmes have found Poland of particular interest, looking at business and finance practices within the country, and how these have developed as Poland has become a part of the European Union. Spain- Another country that has grown in popularity within Study Abroad over the past few years, where Anglo American has arranged programmes in cities including, but not limited to, Madrid, Barcelona and Seville. These cities are particularly attractive to Professors of Art, given the extensive museums and attractions located in and around the cities, including world-renowned museums such as El Prado and La Reina Sofia.
